Multi gyms let you do various exercises on one piece of equipment, with different sections to let you concentrate on different muscle groups and body areas. Most multi gyms offer the same core exercises such as chest press, bench press, Lat Pulldown, leg extension/curl and seated row.
If you choose a Multi Gym with a weight stack, be sure there is enough weight or resistance for you. Most Multi Gyms go upto a Maximum of 200lbs, However the more expensive Body Solid gyms can go upto about 260lbs
This might sound obvious, but make sure you have the necessary space to accommodate a multi gym. The sizes for all products are shown in our product descriptions and specifications, however if you are not sure , please contact us on Freephone 0800 0130 156
When it comes to price , multi gyms are the same as all fitness equipment. A more expensive multi gym will feel smoother, have better components and also perform better than a low priced model. A standard good quality multi gym is likely to cost around £400. However, many multi gyms now come with a range of features and exercises you can perform on them. These are usually more expensive but worth it if you're looking for a long term investment.
Convenience, safety and performance are usually some of the top reasons why people choose a multi gym over free weights. If you are looking for full body toning and ways of increasing your strength and size then a multi gym is a good choice of equipment. Multi gyms are fairly compact, convenient and usually a safer option than if you are training with free weights alone.
